OPEN POSITIONS

1. Country Operations (Malawi)

Role Overview
The Country Operations Manager will lead SendMore’s Malawi operations, ensuring efficient execution across transfers, lending, agent networks, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Oversee daily operations (wallet, lending, agents, settlements)
⦁ Execute national expansion strategy across all 28 districts
⦁ Manage relationships with banks, MNOs, and regulators
⦁ Drive performance targets (users, volumes, revenue)
⦁ Lead cross-functional teams (operations, finance, compliance)

Qualifications
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
⦁ 5–10 years’ experience in fintech, banking, or telecom
⦁ Strong leadership and execution skills

Role Overview
Responsible for managing lending risk, borrower vetting, and maintaining portfolio quality under the SendMore lending model.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Design and manage credit scoring systems
⦁ Oversee loan approval workflow (Loan Officer → Finance → Executive)
⦁ Monitor default rates and implement mitigation strategies
⦁ Manage collateral-backed lending structures
⦁ Report portfolio performance and risk metrics

Qualifications
⦁ Degree in Finance, Economics, or Risk Management
⦁ 5+ years in lending, microfinance, or banking
⦁ Strong analytical and credit risk expertise

Role Overview
Ensure SendMore operates fully within Malawi’s regulatory framework under the  Reserve Bank of Malawi, including AML/CFT compliance.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Manage licensing (PSP, lending, fintech compliance)
⦁ Implement AML/CFT policies and reporting
⦁ Liaise with regulators and financial authorities
⦁ Ensure adherence to Financial Services and Cyber Laws
⦁ Conduct internal audits and compliance training

Qualifications
⦁ Degree in Law, Finance, or Compliance
⦁ Experience with financial regulation and AML/CFT
⦁ Knowledge of Malawi financial regulatory environment

Role Overview
Lead development and scaling of the SendMore platform (wallet, lending engine, integrations).

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Build and maintain backend systems (Node.js, APIs)
⦁ Oversee mobile/web app (React, PWA architecture)
⦁ Integrate payment systems (mobile money, banks, APIs)
⦁ Ensure security (2FA, encryption, fraud detection)
⦁ Lead engineering team and product iterations

Qualifications
⦁ Degree in Computer Science or related field
⦁ 5+ years experience in software development
⦁ Experience with fintech systems and payment integrations

Role Overview
Drive user acquisition, partnerships, and market expansion across Malawi.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Build partnerships with banks, employers, and institutions
⦁ Lead marketing campaigns (digital + on-ground activations)
⦁ Expand agent network (Basic → Premium → Super agents)
⦁ Manage diaspora and remittance partnerships
⦁ Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies

Qualifications
⦁ Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
⦁ 3–7 years experience in growth, sales, or partnerships
⦁ Strong negotiation and communication skills
